A Joint Workshop between the projects Adapt4EE and KnoholEM was organized on September 3-4 in Karlsruhe, Germany and was hosted by KIT.

The workshop was jointly organized by Adapt4EE and KnoHolEM project consortiums, part of the eeSemantics community. The workshop focused on the issue of Behavior modeling, which is addressed by the two projects through the development of information models that incorporate the building environment (BIM) and occupancy behavior aspects.

The main objectives of the workshop were:

  1. To identify and understand the challenge and current researches on energy efficient building in Europe and tropical countries (Indonesia)
  2. To identify and understand current approaches in modeling the building environment and occupancy behavior
  3. To discuss the application and contribution to existing standards in information/ knowledge modeling
  4. To discuss potential cooperation and harmonization between information models developed in Adapt4EE and KnoholEM in order to ensure sustainability of both project results
  5. To identify new application fields of the developed approaches and potential users
